From Trent Ling:
Herein lies a shot in the dark on this special day—hoping for better tomorrows for any and all.
That Selflessness Prevail:
Needless adults, inspired at the prospect of benefitting others, must step forward and salvage the present and the future of life on Earth. Specifically, the present generation of working-age adults must now wholly refrain from ravaging the planet or seeking first any of its own needs. Retirees worked hard, paid their dues, and held up their end of the bargain. Fixing today’s mess does not rest with them (unless they voluntarily wish to join in the effort). Students must mature, become deeper and broader people, and work toward making their dreams possible down the road. They are too young for this task. Those in the middle must take a stand, deny themselves, and right the ship for all. Only selflessness will answer this incalculable calling. People must say “no” to themselves to accomplish what is right and enduring.
That Humility Guide:
Loving the painful truth and no longer taking personal offense, an inspired and right populace cannot be stopped. Approachable, winnable, convertible, and salvageable, the masses can arise and turn around the deepest of dives and the greatest of slumbers in human history. None of this can ever take place without the humility that would acknowledge disasters internal and external, personal and collective. Truths burn and injustices sting, but the genuinely humble prove themselves through an emergent understanding that ultimately swamps all of life’s enemies.
That Wisdom Arise:
Learn, remember, and advance. Time has already expired for any more fumbling, bumbling, or stumbling. Again: learn, remember, and advance. The people must be done running in place and finished muttering things devoid of content. They must make it a point not to let slip all that has been offered through the years and up to this very moment in history. Speaking less, learning more, and measuring all things by the truth should accrue much into the wisdom column. With a dogged determination to have hearts and minds opened, and a renewed willingness to understand matters in sharper ways, a people can escape the latest of the dark ages. The death spiral of dumbness need not finish its horrifying work.
Conclusion:
Contemplative people who grapple and hold themselves to higher standards of critical thought will find the Heavens and the Earth on their sides. People who put God-given gifts to work, combined with selflessness, humility, and wisdom will prove themselves as the smartest people on the Earth—instituting the whole package from Heaven and its telltale triumphs. Urgently, this Christmas wish has become indispensable at this darkening hour.

“Contemplative people who grapple and hold themselves to higher standards of critical thought…”. This sentence must become my life as I continue to strive for excellence. Excellence is the only way! Mediocrity and ‘slightly above acceptable’ is no longer acceptable in any arena of my life. Needless Adults are the most productive, efficient, thoughtful, sharp, correct decision makers that I know. Their decisions are grounded in what ‘others’ need as opposed to the typical & faulty ‘how does this benefit me’ thought process. Thank you for sharing this. I love how this website provides writings that don’t have an expiration of validity. Just like the bible, this particular posting is relevant and powerful today; 40+ days later…
Thanks for your Christmas wish 🙂
I just got an idea for next year Christmas’ presents; I will use those words of wisdom on stuff I’ll make… :>)
Proverbs 6:21 Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck.
Thank you for the Christmas wish, Om Trent. There is a lot in it, yet set out very clearly. I shared with the sisters last Saturday that I will focus on the fight, and that rebuilding or as you said fumbling, bumbling, and stumbling cannot be afforded anymore, the climb up would be discouragingly painful and harder. I am not getting younger, already at the working age, gotta trudge through for what is right and enduring.
