Podcast: Love: The Ace of Trump

Orlando, FL 2012: It’s nice to be dealt a strong hand. In life, love is the strongest hand available. It delivers an unmatched payload.

Trent Ling’s preached message, “Love:  The Ace of Trump,” has been added to the website library.

“From the moment God took hold of me through Christ, I have seen and felt the incomparable powers available in love,” Trent recounts.  “Love overcomes hurdles and terrestrial restraints.  I cannot recommend it enough.”

Perhaps this message will lead listeners to a fistful of the best trump cards with which to power their way to victory in the truth.  No doubt, love provides the best cards and remains the goal in Christ.  No room exists for anything self-seeking.

This message features the reading and preaching of the following Scriptures:

Proverbs 10:12

Romans 9:1-4

Hosea 1:2

Hosea 3:1-3

1 Peter 1:22

Podcast: Love: The Ace of Trump — 2 Comments

  1. Today I was faced by a new level of love which I simply do not possess. After listening to Trent’s message “The Ace of Trump”, I was thrown into one of my “Are you so Dull?” turmoil moments. I am broken to pieces because I made myself the question he poses in the message. “Would you go to hell for so and so?” I automatically made a mental list and I was terrified at what I found. I would choose not to go to hell for 98% of thepeople in my list! I have been meditating all afternoon and it is simply horrid. My logical explanation so far is… I have not gained this beautiful treasure (my salvation) to just give it away to someone that has simply not humbled himself/herself and has not truly repented of his/her sins and keeps defying God. Why should I suffer eternally for someone that God has offered countless opportunities to and has outright rejected Him?

But the Lord’s love for us is totally different than mine.We heard it be preached this last gathering with “I don’t care, I love you”. He loves us no matter what we do. I am in no way like Hosea, I am more like Jonah L. I don’t understand His love for me, but I embrace it. I should embrace giving that same unconditional love to others.

  2. In Luke 24:45 Jesus opened their eyes . . .
May this be opened to all who look to have real love.
I have been cutting corners in my love and it cannot continue (i.e. not loving “fully” at home and going after others in love). This is so humbling to finally see this!
How exciting to repent and do God’s work fully!
    Wow!
    Love you
