Welcome to some biographical information for Six Secessional Signs author Trent Ling.
One-of-a-kind Evangelist, Educator, Esquire Trent Ling somehow bumbled and stumbled his way into the best life in the history of lives. Preaching, teaching, litigating, and broadcasting across the decades, Trent also remarkably semi-retired in the middle of everything to raise his kids and to make the most of the grandest of opportunities—even to the exhilarating point of taking his wife and children to the fifty U.S. States, the seven Continents, the five Oceans, and to both Polar Circles!
Surely, it has been a whirlwind from the beginning…
Tellingly, after making multiple on-air calls to Larry King’s national radio show at the age of 14, Trent embarked upon a professional commercial radio broadcasting career from age 15 to age 23, culminating in his dramatic play-by-play call of his collegiate alma mater’s national championship in football. After a self-imposed hiatus from the airwaves to engage a laundry list of other pursuits, Trent re-emerged upon ESPN’s airwaves in 2002 dynamically spearheading the broadcasts of his much beloved Budweiser Unlimited Hydroplane Series.
Somewhere in the midst of that, Trent founded his own law firm in 1995 and has thereby represented a host of Fortune 100 clients ever since. He also founded a demographically and internationally diverse and fully voluntary, non-denominational Christian ministry in 1999, and launched his own Ling Communications, Inc. in 2001.
As has been the case since his talkative infancy, Trent will always be up to something. His latest project Six Secessional Signs: Why America Must Come Apart marks yet another extraordinary departure from the crowd. His war against stupidity and selfishness reaches a fever pitch in this courageous and codifying effort.
Trent essentially quadruple majored (Philosophy, Economics, Pre-Medicine, and Integrated Studies Program) at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, before earning his law degree from Duke University in Durham, NC. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Educational Leadership at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.
