Today’s Trent TV feature issues warnings to all against loving the world versus loving God’s Kingdom. Trent Ling points out once again that people enthusiastic for themselves will be revealed as only serving God until they think that they can enjoy and get on in life without Him.
“The Bible warns that it would be better never to have known God than to know him and turn our backs on him,” Trent reiterates. “Like Luke 15 lost sons and daughters, most gather up their stuff from Heaven to spend it on themselves. Soon dead-ended, destitute, and irrelevant, most lack even the faculties to know what happened to them. Meanwhile, the Scriptures stand by with answers, but who’s humble enough to take heed?”

Amen! James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.
I agree, Brother. This reminds me of Galatians 3:3 “Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?” Wow! How can we rely on ourselves when we were delivered from being the sinful, wrath-covered, destruction-bound creatures that we were? And that for such a hefty price! A bloodied, mangled Jesus on the cross should prompt us to hate and despise Egypt and its ways. Why would I want to be me again?
