Today’s Trent TV episode addresses the media and its players, amid mounting controversy and disappointment as to how news and human events are portrayed by those employed to cover it all. In this ever increasing media age, will the tide turn or the fervor ever simmer down?
“I’m old enough to remember a time when there was something called journalism,” Trent Ling muses. “But, for a long time now, media coverage looks much more like a jostle-fest in a mosh pit to see who gets credit for something or who gets to look like they knew something. I notice no depth to the eyes of such people. For all I can tell, they are no deeper than a teaspoon. Dumbfounded, they rarely know how to engage or respond to any novel idea. But the people appear to love it, or at least fund it, so welcome to the marketplace wrought by the superficiality of pop culture, I guess.”

You’re right, it’s sad when the media don’t care about the quality of their news, that’s not news at all. Proverbs 18:17 The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him. I’m glad somebody says something about the media misfits 🙂
I agree, Brother. Competition between media rivals leads to sensationalism with all of its over-hyped coverage to ensure reader or viewer numbers. Behind those numbers there is a hefty amount of money in sponsorships and ads. Behind the money, there is unfortunately greed and human power.
The sad thing is that journalist that might have the depth to create an amazing piece, become marionettes to a puppeteer (big corporations) that really do not care if the truth or depth are really portrayed in a media story. They only care about the profit and their standing in the business world.
In the meantime the simpletons fall for the tricks of dirty journalism and they suffer the devastating effects of a lack of profundity in their worldview by adopting this mock to quality journalism.
